Marcelo's career began in Royal Caribbean's executive development program, where he completed five rotations across different finance functions in just two years. This accelerated experience in one of the world's most sophisticated finance organizations became the foundation for his trajectory through senior roles at Chewy, where he advanced rapidly in a high-growth consumer brand, and into professional sports at Inter Miami CF and the Miami Heat.
At Inter Miami CF, Marcelo was the first finance hire and built the financial planning and analysis function from scratch during the franchise's launch phase. He structured and closed $150 million in preferred equity financing and supported the organization's growth through a critical period of expansion. At Miami Heat, he managed finance for the Kaseya Center, a $250 million project, bringing the same operational discipline and strategic rigor that defined his earlier roles.
Today at Rework Capital, Marcelo partners with founder-led and investor-backed businesses navigating critical growth phases. His focus is helping companies build financial infrastructure that supports strategic decision-making, improves capital efficiency, and prepares organizations for institutional investors.
