Matthew Menecola

Matthew Menecola is a CPA with more than 10 years of experience spanning tax, financial reporting, treasury, and valuations. As Director of Tax Services at Rework Capital, he helps privately held businesses and their owners navigate complex tax matters and align tax planning with their broader business objectives.

His work focuses on corporate tax compliance, entity structures, multistate taxation, and the relationship between accounting methods and tax reporting. Matthew combines technical knowledge with a practical understanding of business operations, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable guidance.

Before joining Rework, Matthew spent seven years at a global financial services firm, gaining experience in Canadian and U.S. corporate tax reporting, foreign bank account reporting, and financial reporting. This background supports him advising clients as their businesses grow and their financial needs become more intricate. Matthew’s approach emphasizes attention to detail, clear communication, and an understanding of the business behind the numbers.

Matthew holds an honours degree in accounting from McMaster University, earned his CPA designation in 2022, and completed the McKinsey Management Accelerator Program. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Matthew, and his fiancé now call Sarasota, Florida, home. Outside of work, he enjoys playing hockey and golf, following mixed martial arts, spending time with family and is passionate about continuing his education. His faith and family are at the heart of his personal and professional life.
